The popular Broadway and West End show ‘We Will Rock You’ was staged for the last time this past weekend in London.

Former ‘American Idol’ star and current Queen front man, Adam Lambert, was Brian May’s personal guest at the last performance.

“Thanks @DrBrianMay and Roger Taylor for inviting me to see the closing night of West End’s We Will Rock You. Great performance,” Lambert wrote after attending the event.

‘We Will Rock You’, based on the music of Queen and written by Ben Elton, was initially critically panned but went on to become a commercial success with a 12 year run, making it one of the West End’s biggest hits.

Lambert is currently in the UK rehearsing for a 24-date tour of the United States, Australia, Canada, and Tokyo as the lead singer of Queen.
