A Canadian rocker is set to leave her mark on the Jewish state when Alanis Morissette unleashes her considerable talents and booming voice on the people of Israel.

Morissette, an Ottawa, Ontario native and the winner of 16 Juno Awards and seven Grammy Awards, is the latest international singing superstar to rock Tel Aviv – aka the City That Never Sleeps – in a much anticipated concert which will be held at the city’s Nokia Theatre on December 3rd.

The concert, which will wrap up her Guardian Angel international world tour that began in August, will be her first appearance in Israel since 2000 as she promotes her recently-released studio album Havoc and Bright Lights.

Regarded as one of Israel’s favorite singers, Morissette is expected to perform the album songs alongside her greatest hits. During her first appearance in Israel she performed two concerts, one in Caesarea and another in Rishon Lezion.

Morissette is the latest in a string of impressive performers to hold concerts in Israel, following closely on the heels of a September performance by the Red Hot Chili Peppers who rocked Tel Aviv’s Yarkon Park and a sold-out crowd of 50,000.
