America’s Got Talented Jewish Judges…and More are on Their Way
It’s been said that “good things come in threes”, and for NBC’s hit television series, America’s Got Talent, its triumphant troika of judges all happen to be Jewish.
Okay, if you want to get technical, it’s fair to say that the one woman of the threesome, Sharon Osbourne, is only half-Jewish, as her father, Harry Levy, was Jewish, while her mother, Hope Shaw, was Irish Catholic. But, as we like to say at Shalom Life, part Jewish is better than no Jewish!
In a recent statement released to Shalom Life, producers of America’s Got Talent, who have credited the shows Jewish Judges with much of the phenomenal success enjoyed by show this season, say that they are looking for possible replacements for current host Nick Cannon (aka Mr. Mariah Carey), in an attempt to make all the on-air talent Jewish.
Possible replacement hosts for next season include Facebook Founder and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, who, according to some reports, may soon be seeking employment elsewhere. But, so far negotiations seem to be at a standstill, as Zuckerberg insists on wearing his infamous hoodie on the show, much to the chagrin of the producers.
To double their success next season, producers have also begun looking for three more Jewish judges, expanding the roster to six.
So far, producers have held discussions with a number of Jewish celebrities to fill the three new seats including iconic actor Kirk Douglas who producers say will appeal to the 80 and over demographic; Maury Povich, who will not only judge the contestants on their talents, but will find out, via a lie-detector test, whether or not they have recently had sex with anyone other than their “significant others”, and Judge Judy Scheindlin who, apparently, already has quite a bit of experience, well, as a Judge.
The above story is fiction. Kirk Douglas refuses to work with Stern after the radio host had ridiculed him for his altered speech following his stroke. Or at least that’s what we think he said.
