Bob Dylan to Release Huge Box Set With Over 35 Discs

This November, Bob Dylan is planning to release a massive, career-spanning box set entitled ‘Bob Dylan Complete Album Collection: Vol One’.

The collection, released through Columbia Records, will include 35 of the legendary folk singer/songwriter’s studio albums, with 14 of said albums being remastered for the occasion. In addition to the studio albums, the collection will boast six live recordings, including the 1972 live album ‘Before the Floor’ and 1995’s ‘MYV Unplugged’ show.

The 35 albums, ranging from Dylan’s 1962 self-titled album up until his most recent release ‘Tempest’, will be joined by rare North America albums such as ‘Dylan’ (1973) and a new book written by Clinton Heylin featuring detailed album-by-album liner notes.

If the idea of purchasing a collection with three dozen CD’s seems a little daunting, both in terms of weight and storage space, ‘Bob Dylan Complete Album Collection: Vol One’ will also be available digitally as a harmonica-shaped box set.

On November 4th, Columbia Records also intends to release a second Dylan compilation called ‘The Very Best of Bob Dylan’ which will be available in both a single-disc and deluxe double-disc version.

‘Vol One’ will be followed up with ‘Vol Two’ next year, which will include Dylan’s entire Bootleg series.
