Bryan Singer Confirmed to Direct ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’
The ‘X-Men’ director returns for the latest franchise installment
Bryan Singer, best known for his fantastic directorial work on ‘The Usual Suspects’, 2000’s ‘X-Men’, and 2003’s ‘X2’ will return for 2014’s ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’.
In 2011, Singer took a writing and producing role, leaving the directing to Matthew Vaughn, for ‘X-Men: First Class’. For the next installment, however, it seems Singer will only sit in the director’s chair, leaving the writing and producing to someone else.
Singer took over the project from Matthew Vaughn, who confirm to have dropped out of the ‘X-Men: First Class’ sequel just last week. According to Deadline, Vaughn is close to signing on to the project as a producing alongside Simon Kinberg and Lauren Shuler Donner.
Singer will soon release ‘Jack the Giant Slayer’, starring Nicholas Hoult, Eleanor Tomlinson, and Stanley Tucci.
‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’, described by comic book writer Mark Millar as “X-Men meets Terminator” will star Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, and Jennifer Lawrence.
