Chris Martin Opens Up About Gwyneth Paltrow Split [VIDEO]

GOOP lifestyle blogger, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Coldplay front man, Chris Martin, publicly ended their marriage after 10 years via a highly-lambasted posting on the former’s website last month.

Describing their separation as a “conscious uncoupling”, Paltrow and Martin explained that “It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate… We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate.”

Since the blog was posted, critics and fans around the globe have discussed their chosen terminology and have also began spreading numerous rumors ranging from cheating allegations to questioning whether the announcement was merely a publicity stunt.

Now, Martin is coming forward for the first time since the string of events began to address his separation and the surrounding conversation.

Joining Zane Lowe on BBC Radio One this upcoming Monday, Martin shares that “everyone in their life goes through challenges…Whether it’s love or money or kids or illness.”

In the teaser clip below, he adds that “there have been a lot of false headlines recently but this would be a real one,” referring to his split from Paltrow.
