As Israel’s Operation Pillar of Defense reached its sixth day today, the IDF has targeted approximately 80 terror site located across the Gaza Strip, severely affecting Hamas’ ability to launch rockets.

Still, approximately 100 rockets were fired from Gaza into the southern region of Israel on Monday, wounding nine, including a woman in Ashkelon while she ran for cover in a bomb shelter. Another rocket hit an empty school in Ashkelon, making it the third time the school was hit in the last decade. Rockets also fell in Sderot, Ofakim and Shaar Hanegev, and a fake bomb was found on Jerusalem’s light rail system.

The IDF also set their sites on buildings owned by senior terrorist operatives which are being used as headquarters as well as weapons storage facilities.

According to the IDF, more than 90 Palestinians — terrorists and civilians — have been killed since the start of the operation on Nov. 14, while three Israelis have lost their lives.

Close to 600 rockets have been fired into Israel since the start of its Operation Pillar of Defense, with Israel’s Iron Dome intercepting over 300 of them.
