CNN Reporter Calls Israelis "Scum"
Diana Magnay has since been removed from Israel and assigned to Moscow

Only a week after CNN’s Jake Trapper defended Israel in a must-see interview where he slammed a Palestinian spokeswoman for trying to pass off more than a few lies, another member of CNN is now making headlines, but not for her defending of Israel.
Diana Magnay is a correspondent for CNN who has been covering the conflict in Israel and Gaza.
After witnessing a group of Israelis standing on a hill near Sderot cheering when a bomb when off in Gaza, Magnay immediately went to Twitter where she called them “scum.”
“Israelis on hill above Sderot cheer as bombs land on #gaza; threaten to ‘destroy our car if I say a word wrong’. Scum,” she tweeted.
The tweet was almost instantly removed, but not before garnering some 250 retweets.
CNN has now removed Magnay from covering the Israel-Gaza situation, and has placed her in Moscow instead.“After being threatened and harassed before and during a liveshot, Diana reacted angrily on Twitter,” said a CNN spokeswoman in a statement to the Huffington Post.
“She deeply regrets the language used, which was aimed directly at those who had been targeting our crew,” the spokeswoman added. “She certainly meant no offense to anyone beyond that group, and she and CNN apologize for any offense that may have been taken.”
Magnay’s removal from the area comes only a day after NBC News journalist Ayman Mohyeldin was pulled. NBC has yet to comment on their decision. We do know that some of his tweets have recently been deleted as well, which have caused some to speculate it was due to his social media accounts.
