Courtney Love Thinks Scarlett Johansson Should Play Her

According to The Sun, Courtney Love is working on a Kurt Cobain biopic with Universal Pictures. The actress and Hole lead singer agreed to do the film on the condition that “she gets to decide the main aspects of the project including director, casting, screenplay and music.”

A source told The Sun that Love has picked fellow Jewish actress Scarlett Johansson to portray her in the movie. “She is adamant Scarlett will play her. Scarlett is friendly with Frances Bean, her daughter with Kurt,” the undisclosed source told The Sun. It was also reported that Robert Pattinson is Love’s first choice to play her late husband, but her manager denies the claim.

This is not the first attempt by a studio company to create a film about the Nirvana star’s life. In the past, Sony Pictures proposed Zac Efron as Cobain and suggested Frances Bean to play her mother. Love refused the offer.
