Adam Lambert a Mentor on 'Idol'
The singer will be returning to the show as a mentor for Idol hopefuls.
It’s been less than a year since Adam Lambert sang rock tunes on American Idol. He’ll be returning to the reality show for next week’s episodes, this time as a mentor for Idol hopefuls.
The American Idol runner-up is set to coach the Top 8 singers during Tuesday’s performance show and sing his latest single Whataya Want From Me on Wednesday for the results show.
Some Idol fans have criticized Lambert’s mentoring gig saying he’s still an industry newbie. He took to his Twitter account to address the issue.
“Even though I'm just at the start of my recording career, I hope to lend some insight as one who's been thru the Idol adventure. Excited!!” wrote the Idol runner-up.
Before American Idol, Lambert, who is Jewish, performed Shir LaShalom at a memorial concert for Yitzhak Rabin and was an original cast member ofThe Ten Commandments: The Musical.
