Israeli Play Heads to New York
"The Timekeeper" will be staged in New York on April 22.
The Timekeeper, written by Dan Clancy and directed by Lee Gilat, is heading to New York on April 22. The Israeli production has toured England, Ireland, Germany, Poland, Greece and Canada.
The play tells the story of Hans, a gay German man, and a much older, conservative Jewish senior who have been thrown into the Sachsenhausen concentration camp. They seem to have little in common – except humour.
The cast includes Rami Baruch, Roy Horovitz and Omer Etzion. The Timekeeper will be staged for one night only, on April 22, in New York’s Theatre Row. The theatre company features a collection of renovated historic theatres in Times Square.
