Russia Opens First Kosher Take-Out

The restaurant and store features fresh ready-made food.

The local Jewish community in Moscow, Russia, opened its first kosher take-out restaurant and store. It is located in the Shaarei Tsedek Charity Center. According to the Federation of Jewish Communities of the CIS, the store’s food is cooked and baked on-site for guaranteed freshness.

Aside from ready-made convenience meals, the restaurant and store also sells candies, snacks and other packaged items. Chef Pinchas Slobodnik of the nearby Moscow Jewish Community Center was reportedly in charge of creating the recipes for all items on the menu.
