Adam Lambert Explains Absence on 'Idol' Finale
The singer turns on to Twitter to clear up controversy.
Adam Lambert explained on his Twitter account why he did not take the stage on Wednesday night's American Idol finale. Lambert was missing during a performance that bid farewell to judge Simon Cowell.
Media outlets formed some speculation and the singer cleared up the issue on Twitter. He tweeted on May 27, “Would have loved 2 have been at the Idol Finale to wish Simon farewell and support the finalists, but this tour for my fans is my priority.”
The singer said he came down with a “throat bug” after a performance in Boston, but he was also never "asked to appear on the finale in any capacity."
