LeBron James Seeks Business Advice from Rabbi
Rabbi Pinto hired to provide spiritual and business guidance during meeting.
In an off-season that has seen some surprising twist and turns, the embracement of Judaism by New York’s Amar’e Stoudemire and now LeBron James might be the most unusual.
NBA superstar LeBron James has hired Rabbi Yishayahu Yosef Pinto as his spiritual guidance and business advisor.
Rabbi Pinto, who is also known as the “Rabbi to the Business Stars,” met earlier today with James on a private yacht off the coast of New York to advise him on a “big merchandising meeting,” as reported by TMZ.
It’s been reported that James had paid several hundreds of thousands of dollars to get Rabbi Pinto to accompany him in the meeting and provide advice and guidance. James sat through several presentations by large retail executives.
Rabbi Pinto, a 37-year-old New York-based kabbalist, only speaks Hebrew. He has a history of providing guidance and business advice to business moguls. James’ relationship with some of the biggest business moguls is well documented. He has been known to seek advice from Bill Gates and Warren Buffett.
James was the centrepiece to the NBA’s highest profile off-season in history. James, along with Toronto’s Chris Bosh, joined Dwyane Wade in Miami to form what many consider to be the most talented team in NBA history.
