Drake Says He's 'One of the Best Jews'
He was asked by TMZ who he thinks is a better Jew: him or TMZ's Harvey Levin.
Drake was asked by a TMZ photographer who he thinks is a better Jew: him or TMZ’s Harvey Levin. After hesitating for a moment, the Canadian rapper replied with a smile, “I’m one of the best Jews to ever do it.”
But when TMZ asked Matisyahu a similar question, he had a different opinion. "Drake is pretty good, man. He's got his thing but it's different than what I do,” Matisyahu told TMZ. “As an MC, he's got me. He doesn't have the reggae thing that I've got."
Fans were upset when Drake left the Grammy Awards empty handed, but the 24-year-old rapper has a good chance of picking up a few Juno Awards next month. Last year he won the Best New Artist Juno Award. This time he’s up for a whopping six awards -- including Single of the Year, Artist of the Year and the Juno Fan Choice Award. Drake is also the host of this year’s Juno Awards, which airs live from the Air Canada Centre on March 27.
Matisyahu is also coming to Toronto. He’ll be performing an acoustic show at Uptown Chabad’s Fourth Annual Benefit Evening. The event will take place on April 5 at the Toronto Centre for the Performing Arts.
