Hollywood's Sexiest Jewish Women

After writing yesterdays article "Hollywood's Sexiest Jewish Men", I was inspired to publish a list of the most attractive women as well. There are countless beautiful and talented Jewish women in the entertainment biz, and I would hate to see them go unrecognized.

The men's list was based on suggestions from our readers, but this list is a lot more biased- it's just my personal opinion. If you disagree with any of my selections, or believe someone was overlooked, e-mail me at ashleyb@shalomlife.com.

Here it goes:

1. Natalie Portman

This Jerusalem born beauty has been acting for almost 20 years! Her raw talent was recognized at the young age of 13 for her groundbreaking role in Leon: The Professional. Portman is nominated for Best Actress this year for Black Swan, and considering she's already won the Golden Globe, SAG, BAFTA, and many others, I think she's a shoe in for the statue.

2. Scarlett Johansson

When Johansson first gained recognition in cult film, Ghost World, her talent was obvious but her looks hadn't yet blossomed. Now her beauty is undeniable. With those luscious curves and perfect porcelain skin, it's no wonder Dolce & Gabbana snapped her up. Johansson can be seen next year in the new version of classic action film The Avengers.

3. Evan Rachel Wood

This edgy sexpot has been acting since the age of 7, but really made a name for herself in 2003's controversial Thirteen. Wood currently stars in HBO's True Blood as Louisiana's Vampire Queen.

4. Lizzy Caplan

Her sultry eyes lure in everyone that watches her. Caplan began in career in TV movies and series, but really gained popularity after 2008's Cloverfield. She currently stars in Oscar-nominated 127 Hours, and shared some screen time with Evan Rachel Wood in HBO's True Blood.

5. Lea Michele

Us Gleeks all know Lea Michele as Rachel Berry- the innocent, yet beautiful star of Fox's Glee. What you may not know is that Michele has been wowing Broadway audiences since the age of 8 when she played Cosette in Les Mis. Michele's Broadway career is extensive earning her Tony nods for almost 15 years.

6. Mila Kunis

Another child actress- starting her career at the age of 9, Kunis' exotic beauty is irrefutable. Since That 70's Show, Kunis has made a swift transition from small to big screens starring in Oscar-nominated The Black Swan and Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Although her film career is skyrocketing, she can still be heard as the voice of Meg Griffin on Family Guy every week.

7. Kat Dennings

You may not be familiar with this beauty's name, but there's no doubt you'd recognize her face. Dennings' huge eyes and plump lips cannot be forgotten. Having starred in Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, The House Bunny, and Charlie Bartlett, her sarcastic sense of humour and talent are evident. My prediction is that Dennings' career has only just begun.

8. Jennifer Connelly

Connelly has come a long way since the unibrowed teen in Jim Henson's Labyrinth. Once she outgrew that awkward phase, her sophistication and elegance shone. Connelly, in my humble opinion, is one of the most underrated actresses in Hollywood. If you've seen Requiem For A Dream, A Beautiful Mind, or House of Sand and Fog, you would have to agree.

9. Mia Kirshner

This Toronto- raised enchanter has a rare ethereal beauty. Kirshner first received attention while playing the lead role in Egoyan's sensual, yet somewhat disturbing, Exotica. Most people know her as attention-seeking writer, Jenny Schecter, from Showtime's The L Word. Beyond her tremendous acting talent, she's also an active philanthropist.

10. Kate Hudson

Having Goldie Hawn as your mother definitely helps secure a winning smile and comedic talent. This All-American sweetheart has proven that her skills surpass that of a rom-com lead, marveling audiences in Almost Famous, Nine, and The Killer Inside Me. Hudson can be seen next year as the title role in Lovelace.
