Edan Pinchot -the Jewish Justin Bieber?

Over the last couple months, Edan Pinchot had his YouTube videos retweeted by celebrities and got a shout out from Howard Stern, but what do we actually know about this 12-year old boy and why hasn’t he garnered the attention he deserves?

Last year, Greyson Michael Chance posts his version of Lady Gaga’s”Paparazzi” on YouTube and within weeks, Ellen snatches him up for her talk show, he accumulates over 5 million hits to his video performance, and gets a record deal before he reaches seventh grade.

Just a few weeks ago, Perez Hilton discovers 10-year-old Maria Aragon’s rendition of Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” on YouTube, tweets it to Gaga herself, and in less than 24 hour hours, the young starlet has over a million hits and is invited to perform on stage with Gaga at the Air Canada Centre.

Pinchot has a YouTube channel and loyal following, featuring the almost Bar Mitzvah boy’s covers of Top 40 songs. The National Conference of Synagogue Youth (NCSY) is touting Pinchot as the “Jewish Justin Bieber” in a new music video that features Pinchot singing a rewritten version of John Lennon’s “Imagine”.

So why hasn’t Edan Pinchot been offered anything yet? Maybe the trick is singing a Gaga song.
