Hailee Steinfeld, the 14-year-old actress of True Grit, has been confirmed as the new face of Miu Miu, fashion house Prada’s younger line. Steinfeld received accolades from the fashion world after appearing at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in a Prada frock from the 2011 collection.

Steinfeld caused fashionista tongues to wag about a possible collaboration with the label after donning several Miu Miu numbers, and sitting in the front of its Fall/Winter 2011 fashion show in Paris this past March.

“We formed a relationship with them at the SAG Awards. Miu Miu is such a perfect fit for her. Throughout awards season, they were the dresses she wanted to wear,” Steinfeld’s stylist Karla Welch told The Daily Beast.

Steinfeld is the youngest “face” in the brand’s history. She follows in the stilettos of such fashion luminaries as Katie Holmes, Vanessa Paradis, Kirsten Dunst, and the embattled of late, Lindsay Lohan.

The young thespian was nominated for Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her role in the Coen Brothers True Grit last year. In addition to her new partnership with Miu Miu (which apparently the photo campaign has already been shot), Steinfeld is rumoured to be playing Juliet, in Carlo Carlei’s upcoming rendition of Romeo and Juliet.
