Are Gwynnie and Mr Schu Having a Real-Life Affair?

Gwyneth Paltrow has decided not to join Glee star Matthew Morrison on his American tour due to scurrilous rumours that the duo are having an affair.

Paltrow guest-starred in several episodes of Glee this season and played Holly Holiday -- a fun, sexy teacher who ended up being a love interest to Morrison’s character Will Schuester.

“There are no plans for her to tour with Matthew. There were requests for her to perform at a few events but nothing was ever confirmed,” stated a Paltrow representative.

“Gwyneth thought it would be bad for her image to go off on a US tour. She pulled out and Matthew has cancelled a number of his gigs,” explained a spokesman.

Paltrow has been married to Coldplay lead vocalist Chris Martin since 2003. The couple have two children together.

For his part, Morrison has vehemently denied affair rumours with Paltrow.

"And that's another case of people speculating something else, but when there were rumours surrounding us, she actually went out publicly and was like, 'Screw it. You'll see me hanging out with Matt Morrison. He's my friend'," he explained. "One of the best things I got out of this season was meeting her. We've just become really great friends. She's an amazing mother and an amazing wife and to see what a strong family foundation she has amidst her amazing career, I'm so in awe of her," he said.

Morrison commences his American tour on June 18, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
