Exclusive Interviews with Top Jewish Models - Esti Ginzburg

After the success of our Top 20 Jews In The Arts feature, we decided to branch out to other areas of interest: Models and Sports. Over the next two weeks, Shalom Life will profile a different Jewish model or sports figure each day.

Our readers really loved the format we introduced during the Artists feature- asking the same questions to everyone involved. It allowed for us to not only learn about these icons, but also have fun comparing answers. We have carried over this same format to the Model and Sports profiles. Enjoy!

Ashley Baylen (AB): Was there a moment when you realized modeling would be a career instead of a hobby or passion?

Esti Ginzburg (EG): I don't think I ever had that realization, when I started modeling I took it seriously immediately and it was always something I treated with respect .

EG: Pizza

AB: When you’re not working, what do you enjoy doing?

EG: I love to be at home, spend time with my loved ones and my dogs, go to the beach, watch movies, read... and lots more

AB: Rapid fire. First thing that comes to mind. What your favorite movie?

EG: I never know how to answer that question! The best I’ve seen recently was the Seven Year Itch

AB: Band?

EG: Broken Bells

AB: Book?

EG: A Pigeon and a Boy, by Meir Shalev

AB: TV Show?

EG: Mad Men and 30 Rock

AB: Gadget?

EG: iPad

AB: Fashion Designer?

EG: Blumarine and Missoni

AB: Was there ever a moment when you wanted to switch careers? If so, what career would you have chosen?

EG: I always think about things id want to do when I'm done modeling like going to school and becoming a psychologist, going to Paris to study baking and open my own place.

AB: What do you regard as your biggest achievement?

EG: That I always stayed true to myself and the things I stand for no matter where I worked

AB: You have unlimited funds to plan your dream vacation. Tell me about it. Who would you bring?

EG: I would move to the Maldives.

AB: Share something about yourself that we may not know.

EG: I love baking.

AB: What's your biggest fear?

EG: Insects.

AB: Can you provide a piece of advice for anyone considering entering the world of modeling?

EG: Always be surrounded with people who love you, that keep you grounded, always listen to your instincts and do what you think is the right thing to do.
