JB Smoove Takes over William Morris on Yom Kippur
I have to admit; when I first watched this video, I wasn’t quite sure if it was intended to be a poorly written advertisement for William Morris Endeavor, or if it was truly funny. After watching it a second and third time, I realized it was quirky and had enough laughable moments to want to share with you folks. It also helps that JB Smoove is by far the best part of ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’, playing Larry David’s sidekick, Leon Black.

In the video, JB arrives at talent agency WME on Yom Kippur only to discover that the office seems abandoned. Not a single person in sight. Although I’m sure this is a reference to the ongoing joke that Jews run Hollywood, JB acts unaware and quips “white people think they can just do what the f*ck they want to do all the time!”

So, JB decides that since no one is around, that he has to “run sh*t”. During his takeover, he responds to emails, answers the phone, drops some agents names (one of the reasons I thought it was an ad for WME), stresses about a recent audition that he failed, and wants to Google ‘Yom Kippur’ to see whether or not he’s even a real person.

I am confident this video would be a lot funnier if I got half the jokes relating to individual agents at WME, but I suppose that was intended to remain an ‘inside joke’. But, if anyone cares to share… please do. I’ll be waiting.

In the meantime, watch the video for yourself below.
