The image, shot by renowned fashion photographer Bruce Weber, featured the fourteen-year-old actress sitting at the edge of a train track, wiping away a tear. Officials from Britain’s Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) deemed the ad “irresponsible” for “showing a child in a hazardous or dangerous situation.”

Authorities at UK’s Prada Retail (who own the Miu Miu brand) defended the ad, claiming that Steinfeld “could have easily moved from where she was sitting because she was not restrained in any way,” pointing out that the photos were shot on an abandoned railway track.

Steinfeld has previously expressed her enthusiasm for the fashion campaign, saying, “It’s been wonderful. It has been so much fun. I have had such a blast getting to know everyone that works with the brand.”

The young actress’s work in True Grit was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role at this past year’s Academy Awards.
