Zoe Kravitz to Join the Smiths in ‘1000 A.E’
Kravitz in negotiations to join Will and Jaden Smith in M. Night Shymalan's new feature.
Lenny Kravitz’s daughter, Zoe, is in negotiations to join the cast of M. Night Shymalan’s ‘1000 A.E’.
Zoe Kravitz, best known for her roles in ‘X-Men: First Class’ and the hit TV series ‘Californication’ will join Will Smith and son, Jaden, in the sci-fi action adventure set on an earth that is no longer inhabitable to human beings.
The script follows a father and son, Will and Jaden Smith, who crash land on Earth. In the story, Jaden is considered to be a bit of a failure, while his father is heroic and brave… but when they accidentally fall to Earth and Will is injured, Jaden must find the courage to ensure their survival.
‘Doctor Who’ star, Sophie Okonedo, is being considered to be the matriarch of the family (Will Smith’s wife), while Kravitz is being considered to play their daughter.
‘1000 A.E’ was written by Stephen Gaghan (Syriana), Gary Whitta (The Book of Eli) and Shymalan, and is scheduled to begin production in early 2012 for a summer 2013 release.
Kravitz is also scheduled to shoot ‘Mad Max’ and ‘Fury Road’ in 2012.
