Helena Bonham Carter Receives Honour From the Queen
The award-winning British actress has been named a CBE
Helena Bonham Carter has played a few queens throughout her decade-spanning career -- including Queen Elizabeth in The King’s Speech. Now, the Oscar-nominated actress is being honoured by a queen in real life.
Queen Elizabeth II has awarded the British actress a CBE (which stands for Commanders of the British Empire), according to The Hollywood Reporter. Other honourees include Clive James, Ronnie Corbett, Liam Gallagher and Steve Lillywhite.
Bonham Carter has a number of projects coming up: the award-winning actress will co-star in Dark Shadows alongside Johnny Depp and Eva Green. She also nabbed a role in the highly-anticipated film adaptation of Les Miserables, which features Hugh Jackman, Sacha Baron Cohen and Anne Hathaway (who worked with Bonham Carter in Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland).
