Steve Jobs Action Figure is Creepily Lifelike

Steve Jobs action figure

Not sure what to get your child for their birthday this year? How about a lifelike action figure? Chinese company, InIcon, is not suggesting you get your run-of-the-mill superhero figurine… Instead they have developed an extremely realistic replica of Apple founder, Steve Jobs. Isn’t that what every child yearns for? The ability to stage Apple press conferences? I suppose Steve’s creative mind, fame, and fortune might attract Barbie more so than GI Joe.

The new Steve Jobs action figure, set to be released in February, sports the Mac honcho’s classic black turtleneck and blue jeans. Additional accessories are available for purchase, such as an iPhone 4 and Mac computer, both to scale for the 12” figure. Jobs also comes with a spare pair of eyeglasses and a set of hands to help grip the accessories.

The “action figure” will sell for $100, assuming of course InIcon gets retail distribution and isn’t sued by Apple first.

Last year, MIC Gadget attempted to release a Steve Jobs action figure to the market, however the product was blocked by Apple lawyers, who said:

"Mr Jobs has not consented to the use of his name and/or image in the Product. Unauthorized use of a person’s name and/or likeness constitutes a violation of California Civil Code Section 3344, which prohibits the use of any person’s name, photograph or likeness in a product without that person’s prior consent."

InIcon’s Steve Jobs figure is not only eerily lifelike, but also includes Apple products with logos and all. It is safe to assume the company’s lawyers will prevent this product from hitting the shelves, but only time will tell.
