Joan Rivers Gets 734th Cosmetic Surgery

On the season premiere on Joan Rivers’ reality show, Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best, the comedian went under the knife yet again for a ‘tune-up’.

In the episode playfully titled Skintervention, Rivers decided it was time to undergo her “734th” procedure to get her neck tightened.

Her daughter, Melissa, along with many co-workers and friends tried their best to dissuade Rivers from following through with the operation… but as the title of the show insinuates, Joan knows what’s best for her.

"My body is my temple,'' Rivers said, "and my temple needs redecorating."

When Rivers went to visit Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, Dr. Norman Leaf, even he appeared surprised at her request.

"You look wonderful today. What possibly could you be doing here?,'' her doctor quipped.

"It's time for maybe a 10,000 mile tune-up on my neck.'' Joan explained.

In 2010, a documentary called Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work was released showcasing the comedians’ life and many plastic surgeries.
