Joseph Gordon-Levitt To Direct His First Feature Film
Joseph Gordon-LevittPic: Summit EntertainmentDeadline reports that the Golden Globe-nominated actor will direct an untitled comedy that will star Johansson and another yet-to-be named-female lead. The unnamed project will be produced by Ram Bergman (The Brothers Bloom, Seeking Justice).
The actor tells Deadline that getting behind the camera isn't such a stretch for him.
"I was a child actor for years and quit at 19, went to school awhile, and a big part of why I came back was that I ultimately wanted to make movies,” he told the website. “I spent a year working with Chris Nolan, Rian Johnson, Steven Spielberg, and I did my best to pay attention. I’ve also been making short films for a long time now, I’ve directed a ton of them, and that is a huge part of why I feel comfortable and confident in this."
Gordon-Levitt, 30, has a number of projects coming out this year. He co-stars in the highly-anticipated Batman sequel The Dark Knight Rises and he's also starring in David Koepp's Premium Rush. Catch the trailer below.
