Serge Gainsbourg Hits on Whitney Houston
Houston, considered one of the most talented female singers of all time, had a long and difficult history with cocaine use and an abusive marriage to singer Bobby Brown.
While her life was filled with unfortunate times, there were also the magical ones which helped create the sex symbol and legend that she became.
In 1986 French Jewish singer Serge Gainsbourg met Houston on a French television show. Gainsbourgh, who was known for his own challenges with alcohol, helped create one of these moments. It was two legends meeting on stage for the first time, and the following happened:
