Leonard Nimoy to Haunt Sheldon on ‘Big Bang Theory’
Spock is set to haunt Sheldon’s dreams on March 29th.
Leonard Nimoy could be considered one of the main characters on CBS’ Big Bang Theory, although the actor has never actually appeared on the show. Jim Parsons’ ‘Sheldon’ views Nimoy as a hero, constantly discussing him and obsessing over all things Spock.
Recently, in the show’s 100th episode, Sheldon was devastated when he received a life-size cardboard cut-of of Zachary Quinto’s Spock instead of the authentic Nimoy version.
Big Bang Theory executive producer, Steve Molaro, says that Leonard Nimoy has been a dream guest since the show’s inception.
"For years, we thought it would be fantastic to have Leonard Nimoy appear on the show and we think we've found a really different and fun way to make that happen… As thrilled as we are he's doing it, we're even more thrilled just to get our pictures taken with him,” Molaro shared.
During Nimoy’s cameo, he will not actually appear (physically) on the show. Instead, his voice will be heard in Sheldon’s dreams.
