Mayim Bialik for Texas Instruments

We’re all familiar with Mayim Bialik- the actress. We grew up watching her on Blossom, and currently tune in every week to see Amy Farrah Fowler’s relationship with Sheldon develop on Big Bang Theory. What many people don’t know is that in between these gigs, Bialik earned a Ph. D in neuroscience. Her passion for math and science has led to her latest gig as spokesperson and brand ambassador for Texas Instruments.

Texas Instrument’s Nspire CX is the newest line of calculators, similar to the TI-82 that we all grew up using in high school calculus.

Not only with Bialik appear in the advertisements and promo material, she will also meet with teachers and educators throughout the year to discuss the importance of math and science education.

"I've been using Texas Instruments calculators for more than 20 years," Bialik said.

Apparently, Bialik and her husband met in a college math class.

"My husband and I each brought one to the marriage."

"I don't know that you could have designed a better person to hold that calculator and look like it's the greatest thing in the world," she said about her promos. "I'm super excited."

Tune in to Shalom Life next week for our Exclusive interview and contest with Mayim Bialik.
