Scarlett Johansson Cast as Janet Leigh in “Making of Psycho”
Scarlett Johansson will be stripping down to her birthday suit, and stepping into the shower that made scream-queen Janet Leigh famous in the classic 1960 film. It has been confirmed that ScarJo will play Leigh in Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho. Sir Anthony Hopkins has been cast as the famed director, Helen Mirren will play his wife, Alma Reville, and James D'Arcy is set to star as Anthony Perkins (a.k.a. Norman Bates).

Based on the book of the same name by Stephen Rebello, the film is a behind-the-scenes drama of the cinematic classic. Evidently, ScarJo’s role is small, but fans of the blonde vixen will undoubtedly get plenty of naked eye candy. At the helm will be Sacha Gervasi, best known for the 2008 documentary, Anvil! The Story of Anvil, with a script by John McLaughlin who co-wrote Black Swan. Shooting will commence in April in Los Angeles.

Johansson is slated to appear as Black Widow in The Avengers, set for release on May 4th.
