James Franco Cast in Yet Another Soap
The actor has signed on for a new Nick at Nite soap opera called Hollywood Heights.
In 2009, Franco surprised audiences to accepting the role of a serial killer on long-running soap, General Hospital. He revived his character several times on the show over the last 2 years, and recently released an experimental thriller entitled “Francophrenia” at TriBeca that he filmed while on set of the show.
Now, the actor has signed up for a new soap premiered on Nick at Nite on June 12th called “Hollywood Heights”. It follows a shy girl that wins a songwriting competition and is transformed into a pop star. The girl becomes friends with a famous rock star that also happens to be her celebrity crush.
The show will run five nights a week, Monday to Friday.
Franco’s role on the program has not been announced yet.
