Top 50 Hottest Jewish Men (20-11)

We just spent the last week honoring the 50 Hottest Jewish Women. Please join us over the next week in celebrating the 50 Hottest Jewish Men in the world.

Narrowing it down to only 50 took a lot of thought and consideration, but I think we finally nailed it. Over the next 5 days, Shalom Life will celebrate the most talented, intelligent, funny, and gorgeous Jewish men, or JILF’s as we lovingly call them.

#20- IDAN MATALON

Age: 23

Hometown: Tel Aviv, Israel

Known for: Lip-synching to pop songs, on YouTube being adorable

Why he’s a JILF: Many of you may be unaware of Idan. Shame on you. Don’t you have YouTube? This gorgeous Israeli became a viral sensation in 2010 when he began uploading self-made videos to YouTube of himself dancing and lip-synching to popular dance songs. Sure, many people have done the same… but Idan’s charisma, charm, room-brightening smile, and good looks make him exceptional. In most of his videos, he dances throughout public spaces singing along to singers such as Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, and Nicki Minaj. He calls his adorable videos ‘ClipSyncs’. Check out his YouTube Channel now.

#19- ROBERT DOWNEY JR.

Age: 47

Hometown: New York, New York

Known for: Chaplin, Sherlock Holmes, Iron Man, Less Than Zero

Why he’s a JILF: Robert grew up in Greenwich Village to showbiz parents. His childhood could be defined as ‘unconventional’ to say the least. Robert was surrounded by partying and drugs from the moment he was born, trying marijuana for the first time at the age of 6 while ‘bonding’ with his father. He began acting around the same time playing minor roles in his father’s surrealistic underground films. His interest in acting continued into his teens, pursuing classical theatre and dance training. Robert got his feature film breakthrough in 1985 with Tuff Turf and Weird Science. He went star in Less Than Zero, Chances Are, Air America, Soapdish, and Academy-Award winning Chaplin. After some rough patches involving drugs and multiple arrests in the 90’s, Robert made a huge comeback and currently stars in some of Hollywood biggest productions including Sherlock Holmes, Iron Man, and the upcoming Avengers.

#18- PAUL RUDD

Age: 43

Hometown: Passaic, New Jersey

Known for: Clueless, Anchorman, Dinner for Schmucks, Our Idiot Brother

Why he’s a JILF: Paul was born in Jersey to a Jewish family, but traveled a lot throughout his childhood due to his father’s job. He studied acting throughout his teen years, even doing a stint at the British American Drama Society in Oxford learning Jacobian drama. His breakthrough role was opposite Alicia Silverstone in the teen hit, Clueless, making Paul a heartthrob and securing a place on the walls of many teen girls bedrooms. He continued acting steadily with supporting roles in Wet Hot American Summer, Cider House Rules, Romeo and Juliet, and many more. Paul became a full-fledged comedic star when he joined Judd Apatow’s gang in The 40-Yar Old Virgin, Anchorman, and Knocked Up. He continues to be one of the most popular comedic actors, with upcoming roles in This is Forty and Anchorman 2.

#17- JAMES DEEN

Age: 26

Hometown: Pasadena, California

Known for: Starring in and/or directing over 2000 adult films

Why he’s a JILF: Raised in a Jewish Cali family, James says that he’s wanted to be a porn star since he was in elementary school. James started acting in porn’s as soon as he legally could, and has accumulated quite a large fan base due to his non-stereotypical porn star appearance. James’ films are considered ‘female-friendly’. In fact, his most devoted following is amongst teenage girls. In 2009, James was the youngest actor in history to win Male Performer of the Year by Adult Video News, and at the beginning of this year, ABC took an interest in James, filming a personal piece on the actor and his devout fans. James loves what he does, considers himself overpaid, and plans to continue living his childhood dream for as long as his fans support him.

#16- LOGAN LERMAN

Age: 20

Hometown: Beverly Hills, California

Known for: Percy Jackson & the Olympians, 3:10 to Yuma, The Three Musketeers

Why he’s a JILF: Logan was born and raised in Beverly Hills to a family of medical professionals. After his grandparents fled Nazi Germany and settled in California in the 1940’s, the Logan family opened ‘Lerman & Son’, an orthotics and prosthetics company still in business today. Logan has had a passion for acting since he was a young child, considering himself a very creative person and ‘film geek’. He landed his first film gig in 2010, playing one of Mel Gibson’s sons in The Patriot. After appearing in several movies and receiving critical acclaim, Logan “quit” acting at the age of 10. Two years later, he decided to re-enter the industry as a professional actor, having developed a genuine interest in the filmmaking process. Over the last 8 years, Logan has appeared in many popular TV shows and films (Jack & Bobby, The Number 23, Percy Jackson) and won many young actor awards. Logan appears next in the much-anticipated film adaption of The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
