Top 10 Jewish Fashion Designers (5 we Love, 5 to Watch)

Did you know some of your favorite fashion designers were Jewish?

Some of the most prominent and influential fashion designers of yesterday and today come from Jewish ancestry including Max Azria, Kenneth Cole, Donna Karan, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Isaac Mizrahi, and Elie Tahari.

Let’s celebrate Jews and their contribution to style with a list of the Top 10 Jewish Fashion Designers: 5 we Love and 5 to Watch out for.

5 WE LOVE:

MARC JACOBS is the Creative Director of both Louis Vuitton and his own line, Marc Jacobs. He successfully creates completely different images for the two labels- sophisticated and mature (Louis Vuitton) and casual and street-savvy (Marc Jacobs). Marc Jacobs is one of the most popular fashion icons of the 21st century with a career spanning decades.

ZAC POSEN is only 32 and has already established himself amongst Hollywood’s elite. Known for his Old Hollywood-style evening gowns, women flock to him internationally to get their hands on Zac’s feminine, body-hugging garments. Natalie Portman, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Beyonce are just a few of Zac’s clients.

JOE MIMRAN is the brilliant Canadian designer behind popular retail brands Club Monaco and Joe Fresh. Joe provides beautiful and fashion-forward designs for stylistas on a budget.

DIANE VON FURSTENBERG has been a creative inspiration to artists ranging from Andy Warhol to Chuck Close. Diane introduced the world to the ‘wrap dress’ and continues to encourage urban women to be confident and powerful in big bold prints, while still remaining feminine and beautiful.

CHARLOTTE RONSON is becoming one of the most sought after womenswear designers in America. Charlotte has designed for retail outlets Urban Outfitters and JC Penny, but her talent and creativity truly shine in her brand’s clothing sold internationally at Charlotte Ronson stores.
