Michael Jackson’s Rabbi Running for Congress
Rabbi Shmuley, author of “Kosher Jesus” running for congress in New Jersey
Rabbi Shmuley & Michael Jackson Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, spiritual advisor to Michael Jackson and author of ‘Kosher Jesus’ and ‘Kosher Sex’ has announced his intentions to seek the Republican nomination for the 9th Congressional District in New Jersey.
Rabbi Schmuley admitted that it was unusual for a rabbi or religious leader to run for Congress, but believes “the problems we face as a nation are the erosion of values”,
“We need a spiritual revival,” Rabbi Shmuley told the New York Post.
Rabbi Shmuley also explained that Michael Jackson’s death is just one example of our nation’s need for a spiritual cleansing, so to speak.
“Michael is the all-American tragedy. Michael was perceived as one of the most wholesome celebrities until he was perceived as the most damaged celebrity. Its unbelievable you could have a change of that caliber,” Rabbi Shmuley explains. “Michael lost his values. He no longer had the faith-support structure that kept him humble.”
Rabbi Shmuley , aka “America’s Rabbi”, lived in England, Israel, and Australia before settling in Englewood, New Jersey.
