New for Christmas: Anti-Semitic Elmo

Central Park is the perfect backdrop for a leisurely stroll on a sunny Sunday afternoon. There are few places as lively and relaxing as the world’s most famous park, that is, until “Mentally Disturbed Elmo” decided to join.

Yesterday a man dressed as Elmo was arrested and carried out of Central Park in an ambulance after yelling obscenities and anti-Semitic rants at tourists and locals. The man, described as an “emotionally disturbed person” in a call to police, was also hassling tourists for money, which is par-for-the-course in New York and is likely why he hasn’t been arrested until today even though he’s been doing this since at least April.

Below are some videos from April and May of the furry Muppet Sesame Street wishes never existed.

Oh, New York. You never keep it boring.
