Scarlett Johansson Getting $20m for ‘Avengers’ Sequel?

Marvel’s ‘The Avengers’ has grossed over $1 billion to date, making it the third biggest-selling film of all time. With the sequel in the works, what is the studio willing to pay out to secure all its’ superheroes will return?

Johansson’s co-stars Chris Hemworth, Robert Downey Jr, and Jeremy Renner are apparently receiving 50% pay increases, and a new source has informed The Sun that studios are considering a $20m offer to the Black Widow actress.

If Scarlett Johansson accepts $20m to appear in ‘The Avengers’ sequel, she will become the highest paid actress in Hollywood.

"Scarlett is the hottest star in Hollywood and her inclusion in the sequel is a must," The Sun source explains.

“"Producers think that as the only lead woman in the film, male fans have found her a key ingredient - both for sex and story appeal. She is loved by critics too."

The same source shared that filming on ‘The Avengers’ sequel will begin in 2013.
