Wine flowed aplenty at Arta Gallery in Toronto’s Distillery District, for the nation’s first ever Kosher wine festival on July 5th. With over 350 people in attendance, JUMP Wine Festival showcased Kosher wine from across the four corners of the planet. In addition, expert sommeliers were present to edify attendees at the 13 different wine tasting stations making the experience even more enjoyable.

If the kosher wine wasn’t fabulous enough, sumptuous “nibbles” such as caprese salad skewers and mini-crab cakes were provided by Hogtown’s newest (and much lauded Kosher caterer) The Pantry. Likewise, Toronto-based Uber provided all attendees with complimentary black car service to and from the soirée.

Perhaps one anonymous guest surmised the sold-out eve perfectly, “The JUMP Wine Festival is the best event I have ever been to in Toronto.”

Keep in mind, that comment was before one very lucky attendee won a round trip ticket to Israel, many thanks to El Al Airlines.

Due to its tremendous success, the festival will recur next year, and consequently, will become one of JUMP’s signature programs. If you were unable to attend the event this year, be sure to purchase tickets sooner than later for summer 2013, as suffice to say, they will sell fast.

JUMP (Jewish Urban Meeting Place) is a non-profit, non-denominational organization geared towards young professionals betwixt the ages of 22 and 34. JUMP’s midtown location at 1992 Yonge St., is a welcoming social network and community focal point enabling young professional to discover their Jewish identities through a myriad of opportunities and programs. In essence, the organization’s “mission is to foster growth as a community, encourage participation and strengthen the bond between the Jewish people through experience and knowledge.” For more info, or tickets for 2013’s Kosher wine festival, visit www.jumponline.ca.
