Cult-favorite band, Phish, can add two more fans to their list of millions; teen heartthrobs Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez.

Phish performed in Long Beach Arena on Wednesday evening to an audience of screaming fans. Among them were Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, and Canadian-born musical director, Dan Kanter.

Dan Kanter, Justin Bieber’s musical director and guitarist, has been a huge Phish fan his entire life. According to The Hollywood Reporter, he has been trying to get Bieber out to one of their shows for some quite some time.

Bieber, Gomez, Kanter, and the rest of Bieber’s crew went backstage after Phish’s first set to meet the band and their family members. Once the second set started, the cute couple threw glow sticks out to fans in the audience.

Kanter, currently pursuing a Masters in Musicology at York University, has written several papers examining the music and social impact of Bob Dylan. Not a bad role model for Bieber to have around.
