Helping Youngsters with Disabilities is Never out of Fashion

There are few – if any – causes that pull on our heart-strings, more than those involving young children.

Now, you have a unique opportunity to play a direct role in the future of countless young, Jewish Torontonians with disabilities, by participating in one of the year’s most anticipated events, Zareinu’s ninth annual Fashion Show.

Funds raised by the event help support Toronto’s Zareinu Educational Centre, a treatment centre with an outstanding team that delivers innovative therapeutic interventions and programs to meet unique needs of children with disabilities, including cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, autism spectrum disorder, and other neurological and developmental challenges. Programs are available for children from birth to 18 years.

The spectacular event – featuring the 2013 ESCADA Resort Collection and hosted by Canadian fashion icon Jeanne Becker - will take to the runways of Vaughan’s elegant Bellvue Manor on Tuesday, November 20th, 2012 at 7pm.

ESCADA glosses the pages of the hottest fashion magazines and it’s worn elegantly by stars on the red carpet. We glimpse at it through store windows in Yorkville, on Madison Avenue, and Rodeo Drive. Yet this is the closest many ever get to the world of high-end designer fashion.

Rarely in Canada do we gain access to exclusive runway showings from internationally renowned designers.

But this year, Zareinu and ESCADA are poised to change all this.

In an unprecedented move, ESCADA has reached out to partner with Zareinu to showcase, in a spectacular New York-style runway show—the ESCADA Resort 2013 collection.

By participating in this glamorous fundraising event, ESCADA is demonstrating its support of Zareinu’s mandate to improve the quality of life of children with physical and developmental disabilities. Models will walk alongside Zareinu students showcasing a stunning line of resort-wear that’s yet to be seen live on the runway in Canada.

“We’re thrilled to be working with ESCADA to bring this exclusive fashion experience to Toronto, yet at the same time, we are humbled that this elite global market leader in women’s high end fashion has chosen to align with Zareinu,” says Stacy Markin, Event Co-Chair.
