For those of you unfamiliar with Jenny Slate, she is the brilliant mind behind the adorable YouTube video, Marcel The Shell With Shoes On… oh yah, and she was in Saturday Night Live, HBO’s Girls, and The Lorax.

According to THR, Slate has been hired to write a Looney Tunes reboot for Warner Bros. This will be the first Looney Tunes in almost 10 years, since 2003’s Looney Tunes: Back In Action.

Just like it’s 2003 predecessor, the new Looney Tunes film will feature a combination of live action and animation. Specific details regarding storyline, featured storyline, or production schedule have not been released.

David Katzenberg and Seth Grahame-Smith will produce, along with Harry Potter’s David Heyman.

Slate expressed her excitement via Twitter, writing “I luv WABBITS!”.
