Adam Lambert Insures His Voice For $47 Million?
The American Idol runner-up has reportedly taken out a claim on his moneymaker.
For decades, entertainers have been known to take out insurance on specific talents or even body parts that are essential to their continued success. Dolly Parton insured her 44DD chest for a reported $587,000, Jennifer Lopez insured her behind, and both Bruce Springsteen and Rod Stewart have their voices insured.
According to The Sunday Mirror, Lambert has joined the likes of Springsteen and Stewart, taking care to insure his vocal chords. The difference is that Springsteen and Stewart have insurance policies for $6million, while Lambert’s is apparently covering $47million.
Lambert’s reps have not commented on this report, so it’s safe to assume it’s just gossip, but an unnamed source told The Sunday Mirror that “Insurance for stars is a big deal in the US and Adam’s voice is his bacon. He had it insured last week.”
Lambert’s latest LP, ‘Trespassing’ was recently released. The American Idol runner-up has two albums.
