Seth Rogen Converted His Dog to Judaism
‘The Guilt Trip’ actor discussed his rescue dog, Zelda, on ‘Live! With Kelly and Michael’.
‘Live! With Kelly and Michael’ welcomed comic actor, Seth Rogen, as a guest on Tuesday. ‘The Guilt Trip’ star discussed his new film with Barbra Streisand, his on-screen mother’s similarities with his real mom, and converting his dog to Judaism.
Rogen shared a photo of Zelda, his rescue Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, celebrating Hanukkah with a miserable look on her face.
"My dog Zelda is good; she’s Jewish," Rogen said.
"We converted her. We took her to rabbinical school. Extensive lessons, the Talmud, She knows the Talmud now. My wife makes these calendars; she tortures our dog and dresses her up. That might be illegal what you just showed. She does not look happy in that picture. If she could talk she’d say, Why are you doing this to me?"
In ‘The Guilt Trip’, Rogen takes a cross-country trip with on-screen mother, Barbra Streisand.
"Yeah, they’re both like Jewish ladies," Rogen says of the similarities between his on screen and real mothers.
"That’s like 98 percent of someone’s personality, I think, in a lot of ways. She pushes me to eat a bunch of stuff I don’t want and then when I eat it she criticizes me for eating too much, that kind of thing. She’s always fussing with my hair. She’s always touching my hair. She’s a lot like my real mother in a lot of ways. She really is, I gotta say."
‘The Guilt Trip’ opens on December 19th.
