Carly Rose Sonenclar is 'X Factor' Runner Up, Tate Stevens Crowned Winner

Simon Cowell and millions of fans across the nation were wrong, unfortunately. The ‘X Factor’ judge recently predicted that Carly Rose Sonenclar would come out the winner of this year’s ‘X Factor’, beating out his group Fifth Harmony and Tate Stevens. But after 35 million votes, Tate Stevens has been crowned the talent competition's winner.

On a Christmas-decorated stage, the Jewish Sonenclar performed her last solo 'X Factor' number with a soulful rendition of Mariah Carey's classic 'All I Want For Christmas is You'. Before announcing the winner, Sonenclar was joined by Tate Stevens, for a special performance of Miley Cyrus' 'The Climb'.

After a couple months of watching the 13-year old from Westchester, NY sing to screaming crowds, receive standing ovations from the show’s judges, and put her entire heart and soul into every performance, the “super kid who is not human” has lost the $5 million recording contract to country singer and former construction worker, Tate Stevens... but Sonenclar's career is only just beginning.

When Shalom Life interviewed Carly Rose at the beginning of the competition, the ‘X Factor’ contestant had a mere 6,000 Twitter followers. In the weeks that followed, her army of “Carly’s Angels” grew by the thousands on a daily basis. The singer currently has over half a million fans and counting.

Sonenclar recently discussed her instant fame with the Daily News, noting “It’s definitely been a little weird to adjust to…The fact that my life has completely changed over the course of a couple months is so hard to fathom.”

Well, Carly… get used to it! You have a very long road of fame ahead of you. Congrats!
