Music Mogel Clive Davis Reveals His Bisexuality
The 80-year-old icon opens up in his new memoir, 'The Soundtrack of My Life'.
Davis, who was instrumental in forming the careers of Whitney Houston, Bruce Springsteen, Janis Joplin, and Alicia Keys to name a few, has been twice married and twice divorced with four children.
In the memoir, Davis reveals that his first sexual encounter with a man was during “the era of Studio 54”, with a male music fan.
"On this night, after imbibing enough alcohol, I was open to responding to his sexual overtures," Davis writes.
“Was I nervous? Absolutely. Did the heavens open up? No. But it was satisfying,” he continues.
However, Davis is adamant about declaring his bisexuality, not homosexuality.
“Do I feel I could have been similarly attracted to a woman? The answer is yes,”
he reveals.
The Soundtrack of My Life, released by Simon & Schuster, is available in stores February 19th.
Below is a clip of the interview Davis did with Katie Couric on her talk-show Katie on Feb. 19.
