‘Girls’ multi-hyphenate, Lena Dunham, joined a special benefit this past weekend, raising funds and awareness for ‘A is for…,’ an organization fighting for women’s reproductive rights.

The benefit, playfully called ‘A is for Asssscat 3000’, was held at Upright Citizens Brigade in New York City. Dunham joined the improv night to not only support the cause, but also demonstrate her natural ability for humor. As it turns out, her oft-quoted one-liners, sharp wit, and incredibly observant sensibilities are not all rehearsed.

Now in it’s 16th year, Asssscat is a fully improvised show. According to The Daily Beast, it works similarly to a popular sketch on ‘Whose Line is it Anyway?’. An audience member suggests a topic, and the comic is expected to tell a story revolving around said topic.

Dunham was the evening’s special guest, joined by ‘Saturday Night Live’ players Taran Killam, Bobby Moynihan, Aidy Bryant, and Vanessa Bayer, as well as ‘30 Rock’s John Lutz, ‘SNL’ writer Mike O’Brien, and others.

The Daily Beast supplied a few examples of Dunham’s improv’ed monologues from the event including personal stories on cousins, video games, and time travel. I encourage that you click here.
