Chelsea Handler Discovers Her Nazi Roots on ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’

E!’s ‘Chelsea Lately’ host, Chelsea Handler, unearthed some interesting information about her family’s past for a segment on Lisa Kudrow’s ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ The comedian, who was raised in a Jewish household, has discovered that she has Nazi ancestry.

Handler’s episode is yet to air, but Kudrow has admitted that the story is a big hit for TLC executives.

"I got to go to Nazi Germany - well it's not really Nazi Germany anymore... - and I researched my grandfather, who was a German soldier and I'm a half-Jew/half-German, so, for me, I thought that would be a good dynamic," Handler shared about her experience.

"I don't have a problem with people knowing that I'm part-Nazi, because I'm a part-Jew, so I figured it was a perfect combo ... It's not like I'm gonna find out some terrible thing ... It actually turned out much better that I thought, and I got to see parts of the world I hadn't been to, so that was exciting," she continued.

"That was a lot of people's favorite episode at the network ... It couldn't have been an easy show to do," Kudrow adds.
