The E! late night host travels to Germany and unearths her Nazi ancestry

Chelsea Handler Discovers Her Nazi Roots on ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’

E!’s ‘Chelsea Lately’ host, Chelsea Handler, unearthed some interesting information about her family’s past for a segment on Lisa Kudrow’s ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ The comedian, who was raised in a Jewish household, has discovered that she has Nazi ancestry.

Handler’s episode is yet to air, but Kudrow has admitted that the story is a big hit for TLC executives.

"I got to go to Nazi Germany - well it's not really Nazi Germany anymore... - and I researched my grandfather, who was a German soldier and I'm a half-Jew/half-German, so, for me, I thought that would be a good dynamic," Handler shared about her experience.

"I don't have a problem with people knowing that I'm part-Nazi, because I'm a part-Jew, so I figured it was a perfect combo ... It's not like I'm gonna find out some terrible thing ... It actually turned out much better that I thought, and I got to see parts of the world I hadn't been to, so that was exciting," she continued.

"That was a lot of people's favorite episode at the network ... It couldn't have been an easy show to do," Kudrow adds.
