Joan Rivers Searches For Love on New Reality Show, ‘Romancing the Joan’
The ‘Fashion Police’ comedian will star in an all new SheKnows TV webseries.
Legendary comedian and current ‘Fashion Police’ star, Joan Rivers, sadly lost her husband, Edgar Rosenberg, in 1987. She casually dated afterwards, but hasn’t been in a relationship in over 15 years. That’s all about to change because starting in September, Rivers will star in a brand new SheKnows TV webseries entitled ‘Romancing the Joan’.
Similar to other popular dating shows, such as ‘The Bachelor’, Rivers will be introduced to eight eligible bachelors, all vying for the 80-year-old’s attention.
Hosted by Rivers’ famous co-star/daughter, Melissa, SheKnows promises many jokes and snappy remarks.
“We're certain she'll have a say in who will step in to take on the role as her new stepdaddy. Making things more interesting, some of them might actually be younger than Melissa. What will she think of all the young men who show up and vie for her mother's hand? And how will she handle things as the romance gets turned up to 11?,” SheKnows writes on their website.
"Some of them were so young! It was gross," Melissa told SheKnows. "I mean, do they even know how old my mother is?"
"I wanted all of them to stay," Rivers told SheKnows exclusively. "I need some new pool boys, a couple palm frond wavers and a grape peeler."
SheKnows also promotes some exciting, passionate moments with Rivers and her gentleman callers.
“We know her humor and we know her sass but, how much do we know about her passion? Will she get caught up in the throes of love with one of the eight hunks and will we see her sneak away from any of the cameras with one of her new male friends? Will there be any scenes shot with night-vision cameras?
We can't wait to see who Rivers picks, what she's like when surrounded by so many gorgeous guys and how Melissa will react to witnessing all that man-candy trying to get their hands on her mom!”
So, what will happen with the 7 guys that Rivers doesn’t choose?
"For Season 2, I want my leftovers to compete for Melissa," Rivers jokes. "That time I'll be the hostess."
