Alicia Silverstone Joins Fight Against Animal Testing For Cosmetics

Vegan actress, activist, blogger, and author, Alicia Silverstone has joined the likes of Mayim Bialik, Rocky Gervais, Peter Dinklage, and other high profile celebrities in hopes of finally putting an end to animal testing for cosmetics.

Silverstone has joined forces with the Cruelty Free International organization to lend her voice to the Humane Cosmetics Act, a bill aiming to completely ban the experimentation methods and sale of animal-tested beauty products.

California recently passed a blanket ban on animal testing for cosmetics. Silverstone is now aiming to affect change in the remaining 49 states.

"I stand with California and Cruelty Free International in calling for an end to animal testing for cosmetics," Silverstone announced.

"We are thrilled to have Alicia Silverstone supporting our U.S. campaign. She is a wonderful compassionate role model and her support will no doubt assist in getting the topic of animal testing at the forefront of the political agenda," added Michelle Thew, CEO of Cruelty Free International.
