Corey Haim Dies of Apparent Drug Overdose

Canadian-born actor Corey Haim has died at the age of 38, reportedly because of an accidental drug overdose.

Both the celebrity website TMZ.com and the Los Angeles Times quoted Los Angeles police saying the actor had been found unresponsive in his Oakwood apartment early today.

He was later pronounced dead at St. Joseph’s hospital in Burbank, California just after 5 a.m. An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause of death.

Haim was born in Toronto and starred in ‘80s hits such as The Lost Boys and License to Drive. More recently, he starred alongside Corey Feldman in the reality show The Two Coreys for two seasons. Haim has been frank about his struggle with drug addiction throughout his career, and has been in and out of rehab as many as 15 times.
